Join us at Old Mountain Field located in South Kingstown, Rhode Island on June 7-9, 2024 for an exciting weekend of competition, camaraderie, and pickleball fun!
The tournament features three days of thrilling action, with men's doubles on June 7, women's doubles on June 8, and mixed doubles on June 9.
The tournament format will be pool play with a 4-game guarantee. The top 2 teams in each pool will go onto a single elimination bracket to show off their skills and compete for the championship. Games will be played to 11 points (win by 2) using traditional scoring and using the yellow Franklin X40 as the official ball of the tournament.
The tournament is open to all players in skill divisions of 3.0-3.49, 3.50-3.99, and 4.0+ (USAPA self-rating criteria), and both Open and 55+ age divisions. The finals will be the best of 3 games, ensuring that every match is intense and exciting.

Tournament FAQ’s
Date(s): Men’s doubles June 7, Women’s Doubles June 8, Mixed Doubles June 9
Gametimes: We will start each day at 8am, however, the final schedule will not be released until 1-2 weeks before the tournament weekend. Expect division start times each day to start anywhere between 8am-4pm with each division from pool play to championship game being about 3 hours.

Where is the Old Mountain Field located?
The park is along Kingstown Road in South Kingstown. In Google Maps search for Old Mountain Field.
Parking will be available on either side of Kingstown Road, in the park and along the park side of Old Mountain Road.
Both permanent restrooms and porta-johns will be available
Where is the South Kingstown Recreation Center (rain location)?
The Recreation Center is located at 30 St. Dominic Rd. in Wakefield, RI.
There are over 100 parking spots, air conditioning, clean bathrooms and locker rooms, water fountain with water bottle filler, snack and drink vending machines, 6 pickleball courts and bleacher seating for nearly 500 spectators so invite your friends and family to see some great pickleball action!
Who is eligible to play?
Both residents and nonresidents of Rhode Island are eligible to play.
Players from outside of Rhode Island are encouraged and welcome to register.
When will the schedule be released?
The committee plans to release the schedule by May 27 on www.Quickscores.com/southkingstownri. To find the schedule:
-Look at the top of the page
-Click on the schedules tab
-Find your age and skill division and click on the link
-You will see your team, your opponent’s names, game time and court number
-The bracket will be filled in after all division pool play games have been played
-Each division will have their first 4 pool play games scheduled with a set time. After pool play, the division will play a single elimination bracket with the top 2 teams from each pool. The start time of the bracket will have a set time and will be a rolling schedule after that.
Do I need to bring pickleballs?
No! Tournament balls will be provided. We will be using the Franklin X40 in yellow as the official ball of the tournament. You will not be able to use your own pickleballs during the tournament.
What can I expect on match day?
You can expect a FUN, yet professional, playing experience.
The tournament will have over 40 volunteers who will be on site to make your playing experience a good one.
You can expect to have good competition.
We have multiple door prizes from local and national brands that every registered player will have an opportunity to win.
Food trucks will be on site
National and local brand vendors will be on site to check out and purchase products
How many teams can register per division?
In general, each division is limited to the first 32 teams to register. We will wait list teams and reach out to them if needed.
However, depending on how many teams register per division, certain divisions may end up with more than 32 if some divisions have a smaller amount of teams.
What if I don’t have a partner?
Please email Steve Gruenberg at sgruenberg@southkingstownri.gov with your name, age, skill and if you are interested in men’s, women’s or mixed doubles.We do not guarantee we will find you a partner, but will do everything that we can. Once a partner is found, we will contact you and have you register and pay. We will also give you each others contact info. If not partner is found, you will be given the option to be on site during the tournament as a standby player. If asked to fill in, you will not need to pay as a thank you for being a standby player.

Is there a fee to watch?
No, there will be no admission charged to watch the action. However, seating is limited and we encourage you to bring your own folding chair.
What if it rains?
If a high chance of rain is in the forecast, the tournament will be moved inside to the South Kingstown Recreation Center and an updated schedule will be sent out to all players.
